DESCRIPTION:
APW - Hamilton, "Grand Trunk Pacific" marked mvt and dial, Grade 926, 17J, 18S, gold-filled OF Fortune recase, white enamel DS dial with Canadian market 13 to 24 hour indications, SW-LS, nickel damascene, s#443918. A very rare railroad marking, the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway ran between the cities of Winnipeg and Prince Rupert. This watch is listed in the Hamilton factory ledger as having been sold to the Montreal Watch Case Co. on October 30th, 1906. From the well-known Hamilton collection of Robert Bennett of Olivehurst, California.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, excellent-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, bright lustrous surfaces, fine scratch adjacent left side barrel bridge screw, few mild micro-fine scratches elsewhere; nearly flawless dial with some areas of perimeter rub under bezel; excellent hands; case shows hardly any wear, no dents or dings, excellent engine turning detail; tight bow, crown shows very little wear; good glass crystal.
